Framingham Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Special Olympics, provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.


This opportunity will help your athlete build a sense of community, make lifelong friends, and promote healthy activities in a fun, friendly, and competitive environment.

The Metrowest Flyers Track program is designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities aged 8 and up.  Athletes will train athletes in traditional Track & Field events with the opportunity to attend a Regional Meet.
