Framingham's own Special Olympics Program, the MetroWest Flyers, will be fielding a Basketball Team this Winter!!
The Special Olympics provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The MetroWest Flyers Basketball Team is designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities aged 18 and up. This opportunity will help your athlete build a sense of community, make lifelong friends, and promote healthy activities in a fun, friendly, and competitive environment.
The MetroWest Flyers Basketball Team will practice on Monday's from 6:30pm - 8:00pm from December 1 - April 6, 2026 at the Yawkey Sports Training Center, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough MA 01752.
The basketball team will have weekend games, competitions, playoffs and a tournament for the top teams!
